ABSTRACT Objective:To observe the characteristics of timeliness in improving the blood flow of vertebral artery by massage, and discusse the material basis of this timeliness based on NPY and ET-1 by establishing a rabbit model of vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis(CSA). Methods:50 New Zealand healthy and white rabbits(6 month old, the body mass was 2+0.5kg, and the male and female were half and half) were randomly divided into blank group, model group, massage for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes group by random number table, 10 rabbits in each group, CSA rabbit model was prepared by injection of injectable sclerosing agent in addition to the blank group, massage for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes to receive the corresponding duration of massage therapy, one times a day, 10 days in a row.The blood flow of vertebral artery in each group was detected by PeriFlux5000 laser doppler, and the contents of NPY and ET-1 in serum were detected by ELISA before and after treatment. Results:Changes in blood flow of vertebral artery before and after treatment: There was no significant difference between the model group(0.009 + 0.775) PU and massage for 10 minutes group(5.117 + 0.712) PU, the difference between model group and massage for 20 minutes group(11.634 + 0.999)PU and 30 minutes group(11.634 + 0.999)PU was statistically significant(P<0.01), the difference between massage for 10 minutes group and massage for 20 minutes group and 30 minutes group was statistically significant(P<0.01),there was no significant difference between massage for 20 minutes group and massage for 30 minutes group; Changes of NPY cotent before and after treatment: The difference between the model group(-0.327±0.863)pg/ml and massage for 10 minutes group(24.518±6.027)pg/ml was statistically significant(P<0.05), the difference between model group and massage for 20 minutes group(46.141±8.196)pg/ml and 30 minutes group(47.091±10.699)pg/ml was statistically significant(P<0.01), the difference between massage for 10 minutes group and massage for 20 minutes group and 30 minutes group was statistically significant(P<0.01),there was no significant difference between massage for 20 minutes group and massage for 30 minutes group; Changes of ET-1 cotent before and after treatment: There was no significant difference between the model group(0.300±1.109)pg/ml and massage for 10 minutes group(3.283±13.385)pg/ml, the difference between model group and massage for 20 minutes group(36.701±8.928)pg/ml and 30 minutes group(37.719±7.320)pg/ml was statistically significant(P<0.01), the difference between massage for 10 minutes group and massage for 20 minutes group and 30 minutes group was statistically significant(P<0.01),there was no significant difference between massage for 20 minutes group and massage for 30 minutes group. Conclusion:The time needed for massage treatment for CSA rabbits is 20 minutes, which can significantly improve the blood flow of vertebral artery. However, prolonging the time of massage has no obvious effect. The material basis of this timeliness characteristic of massage is closely related to the change of NPY and ET-1 levels in serum. |
